Privacy Policy
Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer before final adoption.
1. Data we collect
When you create a publisher account we collect: name, email, phone, wilaya and commune, plus agency name and address for agencies. Visitors who rent need no account and we collect no personal data about them.
2. Google and Facebook sign-in
If you sign in with Google or Facebook we receive only your name and email, solely to create your account. We never post to your accounts and never access your friend lists.
3. Proof photos
The proof selfie, agency proofs and payment receipts are stored in a private space accessible only to you and the review team. They are never published and are deleted roughly six months after a decision.
4. Published photos
Car and property photos appear publicly in the listing. Every image is re-encoded before upload, which automatically strips any GPS location data.
5. Renter data in the calendar
A renter name and number entered in the availability calendar stay visible only to you and the administrator. Visitors see booked dates only — never a name or a number.
6. Cookies
The bare minimum: a language cookie plus technical cookies for sign-in and bot protection. No third-party advertising trackers.
7. Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time via the Contact page. We usually respond within 24–48 hours. When a listing or a calendar booking is deleted, we keep a very small record (listing type, wilaya and commune, phone number, dates) for 30 days only, after which it is erased automatically. This record is not visible to any user and is used only in the event of a dispute or a report affecting user safety.
8. Favourites and recently viewed
The listings you save and the ones you viewed recently are stored in your browser on this device only, and are never sent to our servers. An owner never learns who saved their listing. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings.
9. Who can see your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your data with any advertiser or third party for marketing purposes. Access to your account data is limited to Ekriha's review team, and only as far as the task requires: approving a listing, handling a report, activating a subscription. We may have to disclose information if a competent judicial or administrative authority requires it under Algerian law, or where it is necessary to protect user safety or Ekriha's rights.
10. Where your data is stored
Ekriha relies on technical providers to run the platform: Google Firebase for accounts and passwords, Supabase for the database and photo storage, and Cloudflare to serve and protect the site. These services run on servers outside Algeria. These providers process data on our behalf and only on our instructions. Your password never reaches us: it stays encrypted at Google — we cannot see it and cannot recover it.
11. How long we keep things
We keep nothing longer than needed: • Account data: for as long as the account is active, deleted on request. • Proof photos and payment receipts: about six months after the decision, then erased. • Trace of a deleted listing or booking: 30 days only, then erased automatically. • Subscription history: kept as long as accounting rules require. • Statistics (views, phone reveals): aggregated and attached to the listing, not to the visitor.
12. Your rights
At any time you may request: access to the data we hold about you, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion of your account and data, or withdrawal of your consent. Most of this you can do yourself from the Settings page. For full deletion, write to us from the Contact page — we normally reply within 24 to 48 hours. Deleting your account also deletes your listings and your proof photos.
13. Security and changes to this policy
The connection to the site is fully encrypted (HTTPS), and proof photos and receipts are held in private storage with no public URL. No platform is completely secure, however, so choose a strong password and share it with no one. This policy may change as the service or the law changes. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page, and if a change is significant you will be told inside your dashboard. For privacy questions, write to us from the Contact page.
